Honouring Excellence in Membrane Technology and Innovation


We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Young Scientist Award, a prestigious recognition dedicated to celebrating outstanding achievements and pioneering advancements in the field of membrane technology.

In addition to this award, AMS15 will also present Best Oral and Best Poster Presentation Awards to acknowledge outstanding research presentations at the conference.

About the Young Scientist Award

The Young Scientist Award is designed to acknowledge and honour individuals that have made significant contributions to the development, application, and innovation of membrane technologies. Whether through groundbreaking research, innovative product development, or impactful applications, the award seeks to highlight those who are driving the industry forward.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant has registered as participant in the AMS15 conference
  • 35 years old or younger
  • Non-academic staff (students or postdoctorals)

Application Process

Application for the Young Scientist Award can be submitted through our AMS15 website. Applicants are required to fill out a Google Form with comprehensive details about their contributions, achievements, and impact on their field. The application deadline is 1 June 2025.

Selection Process

A thorough review process will be conducted by the Publication Unit to shortlist candidates. The shortlisted candidates will be announced on 16 June 2025, and will proceed to an interview session on 30 June 2025, conducted by the Selection Committee, compromising esteemed professionals from academia and the industry.  

Award Announcement

Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the conference on 21 August 2025.

Award Benefits

In addition to this prestigious recognition, the five winners will each receive a cash prize of MYR1000, a plaque, and a certificate.

BEST ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATION AWARDS

The Best Oral Presentation Award and Best Poster Presentation Award recognize outstanding research presentations that demonstrate clarity, scientific impact, and innovation in membrane technology. These awards celebrate exceptional contributions that effectively communicate research findings and engage the audience.

Winners will be selected based on research quality, presentation skills, and overall impact, as evaluated by a panel of experts.
