About the Young Scientist Award

The Young Scientist Award is designed to acknowledge and honour individuals that have made significant contributions to the development, application, and innovation of membrane technologies. Whether through groundbreaking research, innovative product development, or impactful applications, the award seeks to highlight those who are driving the industry forward.

Eligibility:

• The applicant has registered as participant in the AMS15 conference
• 35 years old or younger
• Non-academic staff (students or postdoctorals)

Application Process

Application for the Young Scientist Award can be submitted through our AMS15 website. Applicants are required to fill out a Google Form with comprehensive details about their contributions, achievements, and impact on their field. The application deadline is 1 June 2025.

Selection Process

A thorough review process will be conducted by the Publication Unit to shortlist candidates. The shortlisted candidates will be announced on 16 June 2025, and will proceed to an interview session on 30 June 2025, conducted by the Selection Committee, compromising esteemed professionals from academia and the industry.  

Award Announcement

Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the conference on 21 August 2025.

Award Benefits

Malaysia Membrane Society (MyMembrane) will award each of the five winners a cash prize of MYR 1,000, a plaque, and a certificate.

About Research Rising Star Award

The Research Rising Star Award is intended to recognize outstanding early career professionals either researchers or individuals in industry who have shown exceptional potential in advancing membrane technologies. This award honours those who have made notable contributions through innovative research, product development, or impactful applications. By spotlight emerging talent, the award aims to encourage continued excellence and foster the next generation of leaders in the field. 

Eligibility:

• The applicant has registered as participant in the AMS15 conference
• 45 years old or younger
• Non-academic (Postdoctoral/Researcher/ Individual in Industry)

Application Process

Application for the Research Rising Star Award can be submitted through our AMS15 website. Applicants are required to fill out a Google Form with comprehensive details about their contributions, achievements, and impact on their field. The application deadline is 1 June 2025.

The Best Oral Presentation Award and Best Poster Presentation Award recognize outstanding research presentations that demonstrate clarity, scientific impact, and innovation in membrane technology.
